Summer is an incredible time of year down under! Not only are Australian beaches packed, but the cities carry rapturous ambiance. This summer has been one of the hottest to date, with the mercury consistently soaring above 40°C (104°F).
With increasing temperatures, comes heightened expectations! Therefore, I have teamed up with the incredible team at Country Road to showcase three key looks for this summer. These looks are my go-to's from work events to your family BBQ.
Look 1 - Khaki Green Shorts and White Tee
Why: Khaki green is another colour that works well in your essentials wardrobe, and compliments almost every other colour including: white, grey and soft blue hues. Linen shorts are a light fabric for those warmers days, when a whole lot of Vitamin D is on the cards. This look is pared back with a plain white t-shirt to really emphasise those green tones.
Look 2 - Blue Blazer
Why: An iceberg blue blazer is both daring and practical. The blue tones compliment neutral colour shorts, topped off with a crisp white shirt to really elevate the blazer. This outfit is perfect for those semi-casual events, such as: Portsea Polo and summer work outings.
Look 3 - Navy linen
Why: As a rule of thumb, I try my best to mix a darker garment with something lighter in a single outfit. A navy linen shirt is one of the most versatile yet simple garments. Here, I've matched with a stone colour short which is another item that boasts adaptability. Ideal for 'Casual Friday' or a more casual weekend affair.
Yours truly,
JR
